Serviced Apartments in Zarautz
Found in the province of Guipúzcoa on the north coast of Spain, Zarautz is a Basque town of about 23,000 permanent inhabitants. A very famous tourist destination in the area, the overall population almost triples during the summer months as both Spanish and international visitors arrive. There are plenty of apartment rentals in Zarautz for just this reason, with access to the beach being excellent. Speaking of the beach, the main stretch is almost 3 km long and is one of the longest in all of the Basque country. The sands are golden brown and the blue sea is clean and warm. There is also a famous landmark at one end of the beach; the Palace of Narros is a former holiday retreat for the Spanish royal family who once took summer breaks here. With virtually the entire town seafront being lined by this long beach, virtually any serviced residence or self-catered apartment in Zarautz overlooks it. The city of Zarautz is well known locally for its fantastic array of restaurants and tavernas offering high-quality Basque cuisine. The city has an impressive history and modern day influence on Spanish cuisine with the local cooking school, Aiala, being very prestigious. One of the premier modern-day Spanish chefs, Karlos Arguiñano, has a restaurant on the seafront and there are many astronomical societies in Zarautz. Holiday rentals in Zarautz also provide access to many excellent bistros and smaller eating establishments as well as convenience stores and takeaways. Transport to Zarautz is a pretty simple affair; it is on the main Spanish motorway network and also has two train stations. The town is also just 20 minutes down the coast from the major city of San Sebastián; a definite day trip from your Zarautz holiday letting. For those wishing to soak up some Spanish and Basque history and culture, there are two excellent museums in the town - the Photomuseum and the Art and History Museum of Zarautz. There is also a very good tourist information centre available providing ideas for day trips and sightseeing adventures. Serviced flats and self-catered apartments in Zarautz are also generally very close to the excellent nearby golf course; a historical facility on the outskirts of town. Unusually for Spain there is also a sizeable surfing community and even a surfing school in the city. With many of the serviced apartments in Zarautz being right on the waterfront, if you fancy something a little more adventurous, try an afternoon learning to surf! Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home. With plenty of room why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can stay in spacious surroundings in and around Zarautz city centre.
