Serviced Apartments in Zaragoza

Zaragoza is found in the north east of Spain in the heart of the former Kingdom of Aragon. With a city population of over 700,000, it is the fifth most populous city in Spain and as such plays a vital role in the economy and culture of the area. With plenty of historical landmarks, excellent museums and surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in Spain, holiday apartments in Zaragoza are becoming more and more popular with tourists from all over the world.

The most popular and important landmark of the city is the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar; a grand cathedral dating back to the first or second century AD. The traditional history of the cathedral dates back to the dawn of Christianity in Spain, making this a very important religious landmark for the country. The cathedral is actually on the outskirts of the city and so is best reached using public transport from Zaragoza city centre (center) apartments.

Luckily, Zaragoza has a very good bus network including a number of free services over the weekend. There is also a vast stretch of bicycle lanes throughout the city and a public bicycle rental service. This can be one of the more fun ways to get about (and healthy too). There are numerous pickup and drop-off points and so you should find it easy to find one near to your Zaragoza holiday rental. The city train service is adequate and is also currently being extended to cover more of the city.

The city also has a strong sporting tradition, most notably Real Zaragoza, the city's football team which plays in the Spanish Primera División. Even if you're not a huge football fan, taking in a match at the 35,000 capacity La Romareda Stadium will introduce you to the atmosphere and excitement generated by the locals. The stadium is about 10 minutes outside of the city centre and so you can either choose to use public transport, or walk from central Zaragoza apartment rentals along with the locals.

Weather-wise, the temperatures are at least comfortable from May through to October with the hottest months being July and August. The city lies in somewhat of a basin as it is completely surrounded by mountains and this tends to keep in a lot of the heat. Rain is really quite rare in the city with generally no more than a handful of rainy days in any given month. Short-term apartments in Zaragoza can even be booked in the winter if you wish to avoid the hottest weather.

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home. With plenty of room why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can stay in spacious surroundings in and around Zaragoza city centre.
