Cyprus

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and by far one of its most popular tourist destinations. The island is encompassed by Turkey to the north, Syria and the Middle East to the east and Egypt to the south. Cyprus has a booming tourism industry and is home to many UNESCO World Heritage Sites. With its geographically important location, the island has been occupied by numerous empires over the centuries such as the Greeks, Egyptians, Persians and Ottomans. All of this has left a tremendous amount of history and cultural diversity to enjoy in the typical Mediterranean weather.

With a population of around 1 million people in total, many of the towns and cities on the island have maintained a quaint and understated lifestyle. Many a white-washed building is to be found along narrow streets and cobbled lanes. The Cypriots celebrate their long history of art, music, literature, cuisine and even sports and film with great enthusiasm and there are plenty of museums and festivals to enjoy. Feel free to book a serviced apartment in Cyprus at any point as the country has the very definition of a year-round climate. Yearly averages tend to be about 20°C but rise to about 32°C in July and August.
