Czech Republic

Situated in the very heart of Central Europe, the Czech Republic is a landlocked country bordered by Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. Officially recognised as the third most peaceful country in Europe, the Czech Republic has a wonderful selection of Gothic architecture leftover from its Bohemian past. Visiting the country is best done during the summer months of June, July and August when temperatures of 30°C are not uncommon. The beautiful national parks and rolling hills of the countryside are also particularly beautiful during the spring months of March, April and May.

The capital city of Prague is home to approximately 10% of the country's 10 million population and is known as a largely safe city. The most popular sites of the capital are Prague Castle (believed to be the largest castle in the world) the famous Old Town and the impressive Charles Bridge. Outside of the capital, serviced apartments in Czech Republic are also popular in spa towns such as Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně. Many outdoor pursuits are enjoyed in the Krkonoše Mountains in the north of the country as well as skiing and snowboarding. Generally speaking, the Czech Republic has plenty to offer tourists as well as the pleasure of enjoying an authentic Pilsener beer.
