Greece

Due to its vast history and world-class collection of ancient landmarks, over 17.5 million tourists a year visit Greece. Over 6 million of those visitors arrive in the capital city of Athens to enjoy such sites as the Acropolis, the Roman Agora and the Temple of Zeus. The city is also home to some of the best archaeological museums in the world, housing artefacts dating back several millennia. The country is also famous for its excellent array of beaches and sea side resorts, many of which are found on the numerous Greek islands.

Among the most well-known of the 6000 or so Greek islands are Crete, Mykonos and Corfu and there is an almost endless number of beach resorts of various sizes. With the famous Mediterranean weather, serviced apartments in Greece can be booked at any time of the year but of course the traditional European summer months tend to see the highest number of tourists. Some of the islands also have excellent archaeological landmarks and the country is generally a wonderful combination of modern attractions and ancient history. With more than 15% of the country's Gross Domestic Product being generated by the tourist industry, you can be sure that wherever you go you will find the amenities and infrastructure you need.
