Serviced Apartments in Altea

Altea is a town of just under 25,000 permanent residents found on the Costa Blanca coastline of eastern Spain. The town is very much a tourist oriented beach resort and has been growing in size and popularity since it was ‘discovered’ in the 1950s. There are many types of serviced accommodation in Altea to choose from, adding just that extra little bit of comfort to your stay.

Geographically, Altea is located just 85 miles from Valencia in the north, and just 35 miles from Alicante to the south. Both of these larger cities have international airports which you can use as the initial arrival point on your journey, followed by the subsequent picturesque car or bus ride. Also, you may be pleased to know that your Altea apartment rental is only a 20 minute drive from Benidorm, the larger and quite possibly more notorious beach and party town.

On that note, an Altea holiday apartment is a good idea to be within comfortable distance of Benidorm without having to experience the busy 24-hour lifestyle. Altea itself has a couple of fantastic beaches of its own and a wonderful seafront esplanade lined with palm trees. The main character of the town is provided by the traditional white-washed houses lining narrow and intriguing streets and alleyways. It is these quaint old cobbled thoroughfares that really give the town its charm and you often catch a glimpse of the bay as you look around.

As well as the beaches and lovely seafront, they are some other lovely sites to visit such as the Church of La Mare de Déu del Consol (Our Lady of Solace). This church is nestled beautifully into the town and is eye-catching due to its dark blue and white tiled domes. At night-time you can either choose to relax back to your Altea holiday rental or venture out into the town to experience one of the wonderful local tavernas.

In these often family run eating establishments you will find an array of traditional Spanish food and tapas is always a good idea if you are unsure of what to choose. For the uninitiated, tapas is a selection of appetisers and small dishes comprising of traditional local foods. With Altea being by the sea, the seafood is especially good and chopitos (battered baby squid) is certainly a good choice. Coming in bite sized portions, tapas is also great to take back to your Altea self-catered apartment or serviced residence in case you get peckish during the night!

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home. With plenty of room why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can stay in spacious surroundings in and around Altea.
