Serviced Apartments in Marbella

Perhaps not the largest, but one of most famous cities on the south coast of Spain is Marbella, home to around 135,000 permanent residents. The town is known primarily as one of the busiest tourist resorts of the Costa del Sol region, with tourists from the UK, Germany and other northern European countries arriving en masse. Around 30 miles from Malaga International airport, there is an abundance of holiday rentals in Marbella to choose from, many of which are located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

The two main beaches serving Marbella are Playa de la Bajadilla and
Playa de Fontanilla. These are quite large and spacious beaches, but of course become busier during the main summer months of July and August. Along the seafront are plenty of bars, bistros and tavernas as well as many of the apartment rentals in Marbella. For refreshments when on the beach, there are shacks lining the sand selling cold drinks, cocktails and snacks. The customary sun lounges and parasols are available to hire, and there are plenty of water sports and activities to enjoy.

In the city itself, there are plenty of attractions and landmarks to visit, such as the famous Bonsai Museum, home to one of the largest selections of bonsai trees in the world. Some of the original city walls are also still standing, dating back to the Arabian and Moorish periods of the city's history. Although most holiday lets in Marbella are to be found in the more modern areas, the city also has an old city centre, home to many historical buildings and attractions. Also consider visiting the Iglesia de la Encarnación, the oldest church in the city and an impressive sight.

The city is also known for being popular with the upper classes and movie stars such as Antonio Banderas, Sean Connery and Dolph Lundgren. The main marina serving the city is Puerto Banús; here you will find an impressive selection of yachts and luxury sailboats, and it is not uncommon to see Lamborghinis and Ferraris spinning around. Surrounding the marina you will also find the most luxurious serviced apartments in Marbella, and if you can afford one of these, you can do a bit of star spotting from your balcony.

Certainly one of the most spectacular and impressive of the beach resorts on the Costa del Sol, a Marbella self-catered apartment or aparthotel will give you all the comfort you desire, and a fantastic location for a beach break holiday.

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer.
