Serviced Apartments in Sabadell

For a city of over 200,000 residents, it is quite surprising that Sabadell is not a particularly well-known city outside of Spain. However, this low-key profile makes a little more sense when you realise it is only 25 km from Barcelona. This famous city somewhat overshadows Sabadell, although there are still plenty of reasons to visit the city, and plenty of apartment rentals in Sabadell to choose from.

Historically known as an important industrial city, it is said that Sabadell was at the heart of Spain's Industrial Revolution during the 18th and 19th centuries. The city’s wool industry was particularly well-known throughout Europe, and although this is no longer the case, many of the textile mills are still standing, having now been converted into residential buildings. The city is still an important economic location in Spain, and many of the serviced apartments in Sabadell are used by businessmen and women during their stays in the city.

One of the most famous landmarks and attractions of the city is its central market. The market building was built between 1927 and 1930 and has been recently renovated. It is a grand an impressive building and houses a great deal of stalls and shops selling all sorts of local produce and souvenirs. This is a very large market, and can take a fair while to discover everything it has to offer. Residents of Sabadell city centre (center) apartments may well wake to hear the cries of the local tradesmen on their way to market in the morning.

One of the oldest landmarks of the city is the diminutive church of Sant Nicolau, dating back to the 11th century. Almost 1000 years old, it is located in the Arraona district and is certainly worth the short trip. Among the other landmarks are the 17th century Castle of Can Feu, the Torre de l'Aigua water tower, and Casa Duran - a 16th century traditional rural house found in the middle of the city. All of these sites are easily found, but there are guided tours available for those who are not too good with a map. Most of the holiday rentals in Sabadell are also close to the attractions.

A day trip to Barcelona is the most obvious to take from your Sabadell self-catered apartment or serviced accommodation, however consider the alternative sites of Mataró and Castelldefels; both interesting destinations with plenty to see.

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home. With plenty of room why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can stay in spacious surroundings in and around Sabadell.
