Serviced Apartments in San Miguel
San Miguel is a municipality in the north of Ibiza beginning around 2.5 miles from the coast and ending in a beautiful port. Also known as Sant Miquel, the main village area is slightly away from the coast and is characterised by traditional whitewashed buildings. Just a few minutes away is the port area, where many of the holiday rentals in San Miguel are to be found. The area generally offers something for everyone, with beautiful countryside and a gorgeous, rugged coastline to enjoy. San Miguel is on the opposite side of the island from Ibiza International airport, although given the size of the island, it is only around 15 miles away. All things considered, you should be able to drop off your bags at a San Miguel holiday apartment within around 60 minutes of landing. If you are staying in the port area, you will pass through the village on your way, enjoying the idyllic countryside of the island as you go. The village itself is home to a 14th century fortress church and classic Spanish buildings, surrounded by countryside. There is a weekly craft market held in the village square, where locals sell traditional handmade crafts such as pottery, paintings and carvings. It is also possible to buy a unique honey which is only produced on the island. Apartment rentals in the village area provide plenty of small bars and restaurants to enjoy, famous for their excellent tapas and shaded gardens. Most of the larger holiday lettings in San Miguel are found in Port de Sant Miquel, just a five-minute drive away from the village. The port is known for its rugged coastline and beach, overlooked by pine covered hills full of walking trails and excellent vantage points. Traditionally a fishing port, tourism is now the main industry in the area, although this is not a hugely commercialised resort. Water sports are available in abundance with equipment hire and training for windsurfing, jet skiing, waterskiing and scuba diving are easily found. The beach and bay are naturally formed and surrounded by cliffs, producing calm seas and excellent swimming conditions. Most port area short-term apartments in San Miguel are within a few minutes’ walk of the beach, making for a very convenient location. Serviced apartments in San Miguel also give you access to plenty of beautiful little villages along the coast, many with their own little beaches and bays to explore. The weather is typically Balearic, with the best of the weather from May to September. Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home.
