Serviced Apartments in Salobreña

The beautiful town of Salobreña is found on the aptly named Costa Tropical on the southern coast of Spain. Despite not being a very well-known travel destination, the town has a history dating back 6000 years and has played an important role in the area’s cultural and industrial development. Apartment rentals in Salobreña are generally used by those visitors looking to stay in a small and picturesque town within driving distance of the larger attractions.

One of the first landmarks you will notice on arrival in the town is its impressive and formidable looking castle. This building dates back to the 10th century and was built by the Moorish occupiers of the time. Built upon the town's main rocky prominence, the castle is visible from virtually any other point in the vicinity and will probably be the first thing you see upon setting foot from your Salobreña serviced apartment in the morning.

Apart from the coastline to the south, the town is surrounded by sugarcane fields and is actually home to be last remaining cane sugar factory on the continent. This surrounding agriculture gives the town a somewhat tropical and lush green setting, beautifully complementing the blue sea. Most of the holiday rentals in Salobreña overlook the Mediterranean and the main beach is a long and clean affair on which to lounge around.

Being a relatively small town, familiarising yourself with your environment is best done on foot or by joining one of the guided tours organised by the local tourist office. In the old town you will find an excellent new museum detailing the history of the area as well as some of the oldest tavernas serving traditional Spanish food. Many of the holiday lettings in Salobreña are new constructions built in the shadow of the castle and make a wonderful location from which to explore the town. Being so close to the historical centre gives even these modern buildings a lot of atmosphere.

Speaking of tavernas, most of the eating establishments in the town are small, family run affairs serving traditional tapas and other Spanish cuisine. If you do not wish to eat out every night of your holiday, there are convenience stores and minimarkets in which to stock up and either cook for yourself at your Salobreña self-catered apartment or serviced residence or take to the Parque de la Fuente for a picnic. Either way, make sure to take your time and enjoy yourself with whatever you choose to do.

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home. With plenty of room why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can stay in spacious surroundings in and around Salobreña city centre.
