Serviced Apartments in Denia

Located in the Costa Blanca region of eastern Spain, Dénia is found about half way between the larger cities of Valencia and Alicante. It is modestly sized, having a population of around 45,000 people, and is a very historical town known for its beautiful coastline and exciting annual festivals. The excellent apartment rentals in Dénia not only give you access to this particular city, but are also a great leaping off point to visit the many beautiful towns along the coast.

Travelling to the town usually begins with flying into either Valencia or Alicante International airports before driving the last hour of your journey along the coast. Whether you are coming from the north or south, this last leg of your journey will give you a great indication of what you are to expect from this beautiful part of Spain. Travelling to your Dénia serviced residence from Alicante, you will pass through the famous resort of Benidorm, whilst from the north you will see the historical town of Gandia.

Back in Dénia itself, one of the first landmarks you will see is the town castle sitting upon a rocky outcrop, overlooking the city. The castle dates back to the 11th century and is an excellent spot from which to view the town and surrounding area. There is also a museum within the castle giving an insight into the history of Dénia, and why the castle was built in the first place. The castle can be seen from virtually all serviced apartments and self-catered apartments in Dénia, and gives the town a lot of its charm and character.

There are many ferry trips and boat rides available departing from the port of Dénia every day. Tour operators are happy to pick you up from your Dénia holiday rental for either a short sightseeing trip, or a longer trip out to one of the Balearic Islands. If you prefer to keep your feet firmly planted on dry land, there is an excellent stretch of coastline to enjoy, with sandy beaches, coves and bays along its length.

As mentioned before, Dénia is known for its festivals; every March there is a huge bonfire festival burning paper mache effigies of local villains, whilst every July bulls runs through the town and eventually into the Mediterranean Sea. It's not quite Pamplona, but it's certainly a safer alternative. Be sure to book your holiday lettings in Dénia well in advance if staying during these festivals.
