Serviced Apartments in Pamplona

Located about an hour away from both the French border and Spain's north coast, Pamplona is a city of 200,000 residents and capital of the Navarre region of the country. The city is of course world-famous for its annual ‘Running of the Bulls’ spectacle but with over 2000 years of history to call upon, there is plenty more to see and do here. Holiday apartments in Pamplona are available all year round making for a versatile holiday destination.

First things first then, the Running of the Bulls is just one part of the San Fermín annual festival held from the 6th to the 14 of July. The festival is opened with a pyrotechnic display and celebrates many stories of folklore and traditional history. The Running of the Bulls takes place at 8 AM every day of the festival from the second day onwards and involves around a dozen animals chasing thousands of participants along city streets. This is certainly not the safest attraction in the country, and both locals and tourists alike participate at their own risk. Understandably, holiday rentals in Pamplona fill up long in advance for the duration of the festival.

Pamplona still has plenty to offer for the rest of the year, however, with a particularly impressive collection of 16th to 18th-century churches and buildings to discover. However, the city's most famous architectural landmark dates back to the 14th century; a wonderful Gothic cathedral. There are two other famous churches also worth visiting from your Pamplona apartment rental; the churches of Saint Nicholas and Saint Sermin are wonderful examples of 13th century architecture, and are easily reached on foot.

The city is also known for its wonderful parks and squares which the locals use to relax and socialise. The oldest and most famous of the green areas is Taconera Park; dating back to the 17th century, it is known for its beautiful pathways and romantic atmosphere. If your serviced apartment in Pamplona is in the north of the city, be sure to visit the Media Luna Park, known for its expansive lawns and beautiful statues.

As you can see, there is plenty more to enjoy in Pamplona than simply being chased down the street by a bull. Sports fans will enjoy watching the city's professional football team, CA Osasuna, which plays in the Kingdom of Navarre Stadium. The stadium is less than 2 miles from Pamplona city centre (center) apartments and the walk will take you through the beautiful southern part of the city.
