Serviced Apartments in Miami Beach

Renting a serviced apartment or holiday letting on this small, barrier Island in Florida makes you privy to plenty of sun, sand, sea and shopping as well as a huge dollop of fabulous Art Deco architecture thrown into the mix that will transport you straight back to the 1920s.

What better way to begin your Miami Beach vacation than with a tour around the Art Deco District just a short distance from your serviced residence or aparthotel in the city. Here you will find the largest collection of 1920s and 1930s resort architecture in the world. This area is beautiful by day when you can take in the sensual curves and gracefulness of the buildings as well as charming details like the portholes, arched windows and the pastel hues in which they have been painted or accented. At night they are equally impressive, being lit by a plethora of rainbow neon lights which gives their facades ethereal glows of pinks, blues and reds and reflect off certain little details that perhaps weren’t so obvious during the day.

Some of the buildings you really should look out for on your walking tour are the beautiful Leslie Hotel, a very graceful but somewhat stern looking building decorated with strong lines in muted tones and the Commodore Hotel, a curvy creation with four decorative, circular emblems running down the side like pastel coloured targets.

The Miami Beach Post Office, similar to a cookie jar in style with sentinel palms either side, boasts an incredible mural inside of Ponce de Leon’s invasion of Florida. Also, keep your eyes peeled for the gorgeous Tiffany Hotel, the ice cream coloured Waldorf Towers Hotel and, as it’s name suggests, The Majestic Hotel. Don’t forget the camera.

Your apartment rental or holiday apartment in Miami Beach is also just a stones throw away from some fabulous beaches where you can enjoy soft, white sands, clean, clear waters, water sport opportunities including surfing, diving and parasailing and, of course, lots of beautiful, bronzed people.

While you are here look out for Joe’s Stone Crab, a fantastic place where you can experience some great seafood. Joe opened the Stone Crab in 1913 and it has been going strong ever since. Why not try Joe’s original and still popular signature dish the cracked stone crab, hash browns, coleslaw and mayo and follow this up with Joe’s key lime pie. Just perfect.

This place is such a hit it has it’s own range of clothing, cookbooks, beanie crabs, coffee mugs and crab cracking mallets so why not treat yourself to a little piece of Joe’s Stone Crab history.
