Serviced Apartments in Norwich

Romanesque architecture, Plantation Gardens, The Norfolk Broads, Coleman’s Mustard and grinning skeletons, just a few of the attractions waiting for you when you rent a serviced apartment or holiday letting in the wonderful university city of Norwich.

What better place to start your tour of this incredible city than Norwich Cathedral. Take a guided tour of this 900 year old Romanesque structure and view the beautifully ornate prayer rooms, stunning wall paintings, High vaulted ceilings, Lovely medieval stone sculptures, one of which depicts the Green Man, a sumptuous copper font and, although not original, absolutely breathtaking stained glass throughout. One feature that is perhaps not so good looking is the grinning, cheerful skeleton known as ‘Old As I Am’, keep an eye out for him as you wander round.

A visit to the Mustard Shop Museum is a must(ard) for all mustard fans. This museum is a celebration of Coleman’s Mustard and here you can find out the history of mustard and the numerous culinary uses for this sinus clearing condiment. Take a look at the many exhibits connected with this fiery yellow paste including 19th century signs, mugs and mustard pots. Treat yourself to something mustardy from the quaint little shop and sample some mustard recipes. My personal favourite is the mustard chocolate.

Your aparthotel or self-catered apartment in Norwich also gives you access to The Plantation Garden. This 3 acre garden established in the late 1800s is a delightful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff here are happy to give you the history of the grounds and you can enjoy walking along pretty pathways and over little bridges and watching the wildlife. If you are really lucky you may see squirrels darting in and out of the foliage and up into the trees. The fountain makes a lovely place for a few moments quiet contemplation and there are also plants for sale with an honesty box. Please give generously to help support this volunteer run slice of heaven.

A lovely place for an evening meal that is not too far from your apartment rental or holiday let in Norwich is 20 St. Johns. Here you can enjoy delicious British cuisine in the elegant dining room, excellent service and really reasonable prices. The duck here is just melt in the mouth. The perfect end to the day.
