Serviced Apartments in Bristol

Ghostly monks, historical castles, instruments of torture, mystical standing stones and hot air balloons, a diverse, eclectic mix of fun and attractions that await you when you rent a serviced apartment or holiday letting in the ancient industrial city of Bristol.

What better place to start your exploration of this wonderful West Country city than Blaise Castle House Museum. Not technically a castle, actually a lovely manor house built in the late 1700s which houses some wonderful exhibits and provides a real insight into Bristol’s history. Here you will find some lovely traditional toys and train sets, household items, a Victorian schoolroom and a picture room as well as a somewhat gory exhibit called The Cabinet of Curiosities. This unusual collection of items includes the arm bone of a British rioter which has been decorated with the ancient, artistic technique of Scrimshaw, a warped bottle discovered after the atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima and an unpleasant torture device called the Scold’s Bride. This device was designed to keep women in their place and prevent them from talking, if they tried to talk the instrument would cause immense pain. An intriguing and somewhat disturbing visit.

The Stanton Drew Stone Circles is a lovely place to visit. Take a picnic to this ancient site and soak up the mystical atmosphere whilst the kids play with the lambs that share this field with the stones.

From your self-catered apartment or aparthotel in Bristol you can also take the Haunted and Hidden Bristol walking tour. Discover another side of Bristol, visit a 500 year old haunted house and hear the spine chilling tale of the spectral dwarf Highwayman. Explore a haunted cinema and scare yourself silly listening to the story of the ghostly monk in the church. A totally hair raising experience.

What could be more romantic than a champagne hot air balloon flight over Bristol?. With Bailey’s Balloons you can take to the skies and sip on your bubbly whilst you enjoy spectacular views of the city below. A really memorable experience.

A delightful restaurant that is just a short distance from your apartment rental or serviced apartment in Bristol is The Muset by Ronnie. Here you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the bar before sitting down to some excellent cuisine in a really lovely location. The service is superb, the atmosphere is friendly and the décor is inviting. The confit of pork is just sublime.
