Serviced Apartments in Kiev

A wonderful historic city and also the capital of Ukraine where renting a serviced apartment or holiday will give you access to a plethora of delights from incredible, grand architecture to miniscule micro-miniatures and top class beaches to underground caves.

Kiev Pechersk Lavra, Kiev Monastery of The Caves, a world heritage site, is an incredible collection of monuments and buildings that include churches, cathedrals and an exquisite bell tower. Here you will also be able to see the ancient fortification walls as well as a vast labyrinth of underground caves. The caves are complete with chapels and living quarters and are the resting place of many orthodox saints. If you take a walk around the many buildings in this wonderful collection you will find some fantastic exhibits of crucifixes, needlework and embroidery that date from between 200 and 500 years old as well as precious metal artefacts and portraits. Some of these exhibits continue into the caves where you will also find the mummified bodies of the many saints laid to rest here. While you are here make sure you pay a visit to the stunning St. Sophia Cathedral. This vast white structure boasts 13 green and golden domes and her interior is home to the most exquisite frescos and mosaics dating back around 1000 years. This cathedral has also been named a world heritage site and she really is a spectacular sight to behold. A fantastic, historic experience.

Your serviced residence or aparthotel in Kiev is also within easy reach of the Mykola Syadristy Micro-miniatures Museum. This incredible museum is dedicated to the miniscule works of the highly talented Mykola Syadristy. On entering you will find microscopes at certain points around the room, positioned over the exhibits. This should give you some idea already of how small these works of art are. When you peer through the microscopes you will see works such as two men playing chess on the head of a pin. The players have been carefully crafted from gold. Other exhibits show portraits of prominent people on apple pips, the statue of liberty in the eye of a needle, a 0.6mm squared book containing 12 pages of poetry and a 0.05mm rose on a stem actually inside a shaft of hair. A really intriguing visit.

Your apartment rental or holiday let in Kiev is just a stones throw away from the delightful restaurant, Pervak. Here you can enjoy nicely spiced Ukrainian cuisine, excellent service, interesting décor and good, live music. The veal with cherries is absolutely delicious.
