Serviced Apartments in Phuket Town

Situated in southern Thailand this is the largest town in the Phuket Province. Although not a particularly touristic destination if you scratch the surface you will find some wonderful hidden treasures here and renting a serviced apartment or holiday letting in Phuket Town gives you access to all the hidden gems that this picturesque town has to offer.

The ideal place to start your journey of discovery is Old Phuket. Step back in time as you wander the beautiful streets here, a stroll down Thalang Road will allow you to view the wonderful shop houses with their incredible, decorative facades adorned with colourful lanterns and selling intriguing wares such as herbal medicines and handicrafts. Soi Romani boasts rows of lovely, pastel coloured houses, this area used to be a red light district popular with the tin miners of this region but has since undergone a bit of a clean up and face lift. On Dibuk Road you will find the On On Hotel which featured in the well known movie ‘The Beach’. Look out for the beautifully preserved 19th century architecture in Sino-Portuguese styling, the exquisite fretwork on many of the old buildings here and the incredible, dominant mansions. Siam City Bank and Provincial Hall are also well worth a look.

Your serviced residence or aparthotel is also within close reach of Thavorn Hotel Museum and this is a must see for anyone with a penchant for antiques. This incredible place is antique central with toys, aged photos, antique post-boxes, beautiful old furniture and plenty of curios to keep you enthralled for hours. It’s like rummaging around in your granny’s attic.

Phuket Butterfly Farm is a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Here you can view beautiful and some quite large butterflies and unusual and perhaps not so pleasant insects as well as a variety of marine life all housed in exhibits which mimic their natural habitats. Some great photo opportunities to be had here.

Put Jaw Temple is a wonderful old Chinese Taoist Temple which is dedicated to Kwun Im, the Goddess of Mercy. Take a look round this lovely structure built more than 200 years ago and find the beautiful, intricate carvings of traditional dragons and oriental clouds.

How about this for a challenge? The All You Can Eat Restaurant is within close proximately of your apartment rental or holiday let in Phuket Town and here you can eat as much as you like on the cheap. Not a particularly romantic venue but a great way to enjoy a traditional Thai meal or two or three. The only drawback with this place is if you leave anything uneaten on your plate you will be charged double so just make sure your eyes aren’t bigger than your stomach.

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home.
