Serviced Apartments in Zermatt

You will find the municipality of Zermatt in the district of Visp, situated in the canton of Valais. Renting a serviced apartment or holiday letting in Zermatt gives you access to this region’s ski resort, as well as some intriguing museums, speciality shops and absolutely spectacular scenery.

Zermatt’s ski resort covers several regions from Schwartzsee, which is situated in the Matterhorn Klein area, Gornergrat in the Stockhorn region and Sunnegga, which is situated in the Rothorn area. There is also a connection here to a ski resort in Italy if you fancy travelling a little further a field. The ski resort caters for all levels of experience from complete beginners to the real pro's and here you will also find the highest ski lift in Europe, a whopping 3,820 metres high. If you are a beginner you can get tuition from one of the local skiing instructors and will be gracing the slopes with fantastic moves in no time. Stop off at Snowboat Caffe for a drink and bite to eat apres ski.

Take a stroll around the village that was made famous by the conquest of the Matterhorn in 1865 by Edward Whymper. You can find out the history of the first Matterhorn expedition, that resulted in just 3 of the 7 climbers surviving, at the Matterhorn Museum. Enjoy a walk through the few streets that make up this town and treat yourself to some goodies from the speciality chocolate, wine and cheese shops.

From your serviced residence or aparthotel in Zermatt you can also take a ride on the Matterhorn railway. This delightful little cog train will take you up the mountain where you can enjoy the most breathtaking views both on the journey and from the observation deck at the top. Allow around 1½ hours for the entire trip unless you wish to spend a little more time on the mountain.

Only electric cars are allowed in the town in an attempt to keep down both the levels of pollution and noise but you can take a scenic ride in a horse and carriage or zip through town on an electric shuttle bus.

Your apartment rental or holiday let is also within close proximity of Chez Max Julen, a superb restaurant that serves Swiss grill cuisine. Here you can watch your meal being cooked on the centrally located grill by the professional chef. At Chez Max Julen you can expect excellent service, generous portions and pleasing traditional décor. The flame cooked deer is just delicious.

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home.
