Serviced Apartments in Saint Petersburg

A city that has it’s fingers in a wide and varied selection of industrial pies, from oil and gas to ship building to pharmaceuticals to name but a few, this city may be industrious but that doesn’t detract from it’s immense beauty, whether it’s the architecture, lush landscaped gardens or rich history that you find attractive and fascinating renting a serviced apartment or holiday letting in Saint Petersburg will give you the opportunity to experience them all first hand.

Take a stroll through the city centre, now a World Heritage Site, and view the beautiful baroque and neoclassical buildings constructed between the 18th and 19th centuries. A delight for any architectural buff and a real pleasure for those who just appreciate a nice building when they see one.

The fortress of Peter and Paul houses the Saint Petersburg Museum of History and is definitely worth a visit, providing an interesting way to spend a few hours. The Hermitage Museum houses a wonderful collection of art and the lavish interiors of the former Imperial residence. Quite an eye opener.

A visit to the Museum of Puppets will prove either an intriguing experience or a slightly hair raising one depending on your take on puppets, but here there is no shortage of the string driven characters with a collection of 2000 for you to either enjoy or cringe at. You may feel more at home at the Museum of Musical Instruments, or perhaps the Museum of Decorative Arts is more up your street.

The Geological Museum should appeal to everyone with it’s fantastic collection of fossils, dinosaur remains, beautiful precious and semi-precious gem stones, exquisite crystals and a fabulous map of the Soviet Union crafted entirely from precious gemstones. This museum is definitely worth a few hours of your time.

A serviced residence or aparthotel in Saint Petersburg also gives you access to the numerous parks in this city and the Summer Garden is a wonderful place to enjoy a leisurely stroll. Situated on the banks of the River Neva this 300 year old park is a great place to just relax, enjoy a picnic and take in the beautiful surroundings.

A must see that isn't far from your apartment rental or self-catered apartment in Saint Petersburg is Peter’s cabin. This ancient stone cabin, situated in a small copse, is where Peter, the founder of this city, resided whilst his fortress was being built. The cabin is now a small museum with a bust of Peter sitting proudly in the cabin’s garden. Don’t miss out on this one.
