Serviced Apartments in Opole

This charming, historic city has plenty to offer the curious tourist and a serviced apartment or holiday letting in Opole gives you the ideal base from where to see as much as you can of this fabulous place.

This city boasts a rather varied collection of architecture including the Piast Tower or castle tower. This is the only part of the castle that still remains after it was dismantled by the Germans over 80 years ago. The tower stands strong and proud at 33 metres tall. Being one of Poland’s oldest towns it is hardly surprising that some of the many churches and monasteries here date back over 700 years. The Franciscan Church of the Holy Trinity has some lovely features including a 300 year old organ and a renaissance style domed chapel. On the other side of the church you will find two double tombs where local Dukes have been laid to rest.
The market square or Rynek is well worth a look for the Florentine styled, 60 metre  tower it boasts. There are also a number of beautiful baroque houses fringing the square that are worth a couple of snap shots.

Opole is divided by the River Oder which also houses two of Opole’s Islands, Bolko and Pasieka. Bolko is a great place to spend a few hours and enjoy the wonderful, lush park which offers a children’s playground and peaceful lake or take the kids to the zoo that is also situated on this Island.

An Opole serviced residence or aparthotel also provides easy access to this city’s museums. Pay a visit to the Opole Village Museum where you will find a traditional, rural village with structures dating from around the 1600s and upwards including a windmill, beautiful granaries, a delightful, little church and traditionally furnished houses. A really intriguing way to spend a few hours.

The Opole Silesian Museum provides the complete history of this region as well as some really interesting exhibits and is well worth a browse.

You won’t have to go far from your holiday accommodation in Opole to reach the shops and Delikatesy, which is situated in the market square, will cater for all your shopping needs. If it’s souvenirs or gifts you are after then a visit to Galeria Cepelia will provide you with some wonderful pieces of Opole’s famous, hand painted porcelain.

If you’re searching for that ideal place to eat that is within walking distance of your Opole apartment rental then look no further than Restauracji Zagloba. This fantastic eatery is situated in a vaulted cellar and here you can enjoy Polish cuisine with a modern twist and a really great atmosphere.
