Serviced Apartments in Lodz

A city rich in history and stunning architecture and the 3rd largest city in Poland. A rented serviced apartment or holiday letting in Lodz will give you convenient access to the many wonderful places of interest in this area as well as providing insight into this region’s sad and tumultuous past.

During WWII the Germans rounded up 200,000 Jews and transported them to the Lodz Ghetto. This ghetto was a valuable asset to the Germans due to the production of military goods that went on here and so this was the last ghetto to be annihilated. When the Germans finally did destroy the ghetto in 1944 they also took the lives of virtually all the Jewish residents leaving just 900 survivors. This gives a brief glimpse of what atrocities this region has suffered and yet have managed to come through as a strong and proud city.

A serviced residence or aparthotel in Lodz gives you ideal access to one of the most famous and longest streets in the city, Piotrkowska Street. Crammed full of rich history, stunning architecture and stylish restaurants, boutiques and cafes, this street is well worth a wander down.

Here you will find the fantastic sculpture of Artur Rubinstein playing his beloved piano in the street where he once lived. Many of the wealthy, classical townhouses and palaces here were lived in by the owners of the numerous textile factories in the region and have now been made into historical monuments. The house of Jan Peter is as old as the city itself and boasts wonderful classicistic styling.
A famous manufacturer of the city, Oskar Kon, owned a beautiful property known as ‘Under Chestnuts Tenement House’. The art nouveau styling and the lustrous flowers and chestnut leaves that embellish the façade are more
than worth a look.

Lodz holiday accommodation also provides convenient access to some of the lush parks and gardens in this region including the Botanical Garden. Here you can relax amongst the ponds and artificial hills, a wonderfully restful place to visit. Polesie Konstantynowskie is a nature reserve boasting a lush, abundant forest and makes the ideal place for a picnic or leisurely stroll. A great way to spend a few, chilled out hours.

A superb place to eat that is within walking distance of your apartment rental in Lodz is Café Tuwim Restaurant. Here you can enjoy some fantastic Kosher Jewish cuisine prepared from age old recipes amidst typical Jewish décor and accompanied by traditional music and performances. A really great way to spend an evening.
