Serviced Apartments in Pornic

Pornic is a seaside town of around 15,000 people found in the western Loire-Atlantique département of France. Pornic holiday apartments are normally booked for a quiet seaside getaway for both French and international tourists looking to spend some relaxing time away. Most tourists visit during the typical summer months of June to August when the weather is at its most favourable, although May and September usually also provide pleasant temperatures.

The most common method of reaching Pornic is by first travelling to Nantes. From there it is less than an hour's drive or a brief journey by train. This route takes you through beautiful countryside and interesting towns such as Port-Saint-Pere and Arthon-en-Retz where stopping off for a few hours is not a bad idea. On reaching your Pornic apartment rental you will be presented with a pretty town, the centrepiece of which is the Château de Pornic.

This famous castle was originally constructed from wood back in the 10th century and then the more sensible choice of stone in the 12th century by the Lords of Rais. By the 19th century castle had fallen into ruin and was purchased by a rich Frenchman for the purpose of renovation. This renovation was completed to a very high standard and the castle is now considered to be a historical monument of note by the French Ministry of Culture. This castle is certainly one of the main attractions of the city, and the first visit for anyone staying in a Pornic serviced residence.

The Loire-Atlantique département in which Pornic is found was originally part of Brittany, an area with its own languages (Breton and Gallo) and culture, distinct from that of most of the rest of France. It is for this reason that Pornic still has a slightly Breton feel to it and this can be seen in some of the street names in the city although most are still rather French sounding. Pornic is not a huge city, and as such the location of your holiday letting in Pornic is not overly important, although the quay area is rather attractive.

The streets of Quay Leray and Quay du Cdt. l’Herminier are the two main access points to the marina and waterfront and Pornic holiday rentals on the streets are much sought-after. On Quay Leray you'll find two casinos as well as several restaurants and cafes such as Carol’s Bougies and Coeur et Crème.

Serviced and self-catered apartments, flats, holiday lets and aparthotels can be up to 30% cheaper than most equivalent hotel rooms and are becoming increasingly popular due to the freedom they offer. Whether it’s a short stay apartment you are looking for or a long term apartment, our holiday apartments combine all the amenities and comforts of home. With plenty of room why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can stay in spacious surroundings in and around Pornic city centre.
