Leuven is the capital of Flemish Brabant in Belgium, about 20 miles east of the capital Brussels. This is a very historical city with its educational establishments being particularly well respected. Leuven is also very well situated for day trips to various other towns and cities in the area. Brussels and Mechelen are roughly an equal distance away to the east and have plenty to see.
